Recipe & Review: Satay-day Night Fever from The Occasional Vegan

This post is sort of a post of two-halves. I've got a delicious aubergine and green bean satay recipe for you at the end and I just wanted to take some time at the beginning to share my thoughts on Sarah's recipe book itself. Spoiler... I love the simplicity of the recipes and the satay is fit! I can safely say I'll be making that again and flicking through the rest of the recipes :)

Guest Post #5. Little Nibble's journey into Veganism!

I've been meaning to share Amy's story with you for a few months now and I'm really excited to be able to finally post it! Here she talks about her journey from being a meat loving cheese fiend to a vegan lifestyle where she tends to cook from scratch now. Along the way she's been able to relieve the problems of her wheat intolerance and find a love of all things plant based. I like her honesty in this post and she explains that things have been all plain sailing - particularly around family Christmases. So what are you waiting for? Dive in and read her story and go and give her a follow on social media... she's lovely!

Guest Post #3. Plantfed Luke's journey from Meathead to Plantfed (part 1)

This post comes in 2 parts so keep your eyes peeled for the next instalment, but I'm really excited to share Luke's story with you all! I've been following Luke (@plantfedluke) for a while now and I've enjoyed seeing his progress with fitness and weight training throughout the past year. Luke is someone who went straight from eating meat to vegan overnight and that deserves a round of applause! Also great to hear another shout out for Gary Yourofsky's speech (you might remember this is what helped me to take the final push towards veganism too). I hope you enjoy reading his story as much as I did and it was good to hear his story in a bit more depth. Give him a follow on Instagram and throw a packet of Linda McCartney sausages in his direction :) x

#6 Real Talk about the Mooncup

I know this might seem like too much information but let's get real... periods are a natural thing and us women just have to accept it and deal with it on a monthly basis. Towels and tampons have never been my friend and I've known about menstrual cups for years but I was too much of a wimp to give them a try. To be honest, the thought of them made me feel grim but I've seen people raving about them and I wanted to give it a go. This is not a sponsored post but I've used a Mooncup for two months now and spoiler alert... best £17 I've ever spent!

Guest Blog #2. The Hangry Vegan - Discoveries of the Veganuary Virgin

I'm honoured to bring another person's experience of Veganuary 2017 to the blog. Meet The Hangry Vegan (possibly aptly named as she is in search of some good vegan bacon haha) but this is a great snapshot of what it can feel like to make that first step into the vegan lifestyle.  This is a brilliant post and definitely made me laugh at times. Go and give her a follow on Instagram and show her some love :)

#5. What I Eat in a Week

I'm really excited to bring this to the site! I always see people posting 'What I Eat in a Day' so I thought I would do something different. I can't take all the credit though as my mate said this would be useful to her. I hope you find it useful and I'll be posting similar content so you can get an idea about the limited amount of grass I actually eat haha :)
